– Concord, NH
The group that came together on Tuesday joins the growing number of businesses nationwide who have said the U.S. Chamber of Commerce does not represent their views on the climate crisis. From national corporations like Apple, General Electric and Nike to local Granite State small, local businesses like LighTec, Inc., the BagelWorks franchise and Real Green Goods, businesses of all size have climate legislation does not represent the best interests of their business or the American economy.
According to the Center for America Progress, investing in a clean energy economy could create nearly 7,700 jobs in New Hampshire while lessening our dependence on foreign oil, and help make the United States a global leader in the new clean energy economy.
The press conference on Tuesday featured speakers representing a broad and diverse group of New Hampshire business leaders calling on the US Chamber of Commerce to support comprehensive clean energy and climate policies, help transition to a clean energy economy and play a constructive role in addressing America’s energy future.
