LighTec, Inc. Approved For PUC GHGERF Grant

 

It was announced today by Jack Ruderman, Director of the Sustainable Energy Division of the NH Public Utilities Commission, that LighTec, Inc. was one of an additional 21 recipients to gain approval for their proposal by the Governor and Council.  The emphasis of LighTec's proposal is  to assist schools, municipalities and businesses in New Hampshire to reduce energy use, energy costs and greenhouse gas emissions in New Hampshire.

The Phase One grant awards were foundational in nature and fell within four broad categories, Job Development, Monitoring and Measurement, Outreach and Education and Revolving Loan fund.  The Phase Two selections primarily fund energy efficiency meassures for buildings in the Public, Non-Profit, and Commercial sectors, as well as a Revolving Loan Fund for municipalities and several Multiple Objective programs including a substantial expansion of the CORE Efficiency Programs.  The PUC has awarded 30 grants to date for a total of $17.6 million to reduce the carbon emissions here in New Hampshire. 

LighTec Inc.'s charter is to provide comprehensive audits to schools, municipalities and businesses in the state.   The audits will identify where key energy savings can be attained as well as desiging and installing high efficiency energy systems.
